I’m going to teach you how to setup screen unlock on Android. When you turn on your phone a screen will come up asking you to enter your password.
First go to your settings. In settings, you should see an option called location & security. Click that. Under screen lock, click set up screen lock. You can now select what screen unlock option you want.
Pattern You create your pattern and when you unlock your screen, you draw the same pattern to unlock your screen.
PIN You choose some numbers and you enter those numbers in to unlock your screen.
Password You choose a password to unlock your screen with letters, numbers, etc.
Click on what screen lock you want.
If you choose pattern
Make sure you clicked the pattern. It should now bring you to a screen that says draw an unlock pattern. Now draw your unlock pattern. After you have drawn it, click continue. You should be asked to confirm the pattern you choose. Confirm your pattern. After you have confirmed your pattern, click confirm. You should now be brought back to location & security settings. There should be 3 options at screen unlock. The option that says use visible pattern should be checked. If you don’t want a visible pattern meaning when you enter your pattern to unlock your device, it won’t show the lines following your pattern. If you want use visible pattern on then keep it checked, if you don’t want it enabled then make sure it is not checked. Another option you can use is use tactile feedback. So when you are entering your pattern, after each dot you connect, your device should vibrate. If you want to enable use tactile feedback then check it, if you don’t want it enabled then make sure it is not checked.
If you choose PIN
Make sure you clicked PIN. Now choose your PIN and enter it in. After you have entered your PIN, click continue. Now confirm your pin. Now click OK. Under screen unlock, you should see 2 options. You should see an option called use tactile. If you select this option, after each number you select, your phone should vibrate.
If you choose Password
Make sure you clicked Password. Now type in the password you want. After you have typed in the password you want, click continue. Now confirm your password. After you have confirmed your password, click OK. Under screen unlock you should see an option called use tactile. If you select this option, after each letter/number/other of your password your phone should vibrate.
